Behind the sewing machine
Hi, I’m Dee, the hands (and heart) behind Melo Thread.
Melo Thread was born from nostalgia, a little boredom, and a whole lot of love.
I grew up watching my grandma sew and sneaking into her sewing room to stitch Barbie clothes, breaking her needles (sorry, Dinha!), and pretending I knew what I was doing. Every time I sew now, I feel closer to her.
Between being a full-time mom, a creative soul, and someone who’s too short for anything off-the-rack, sewing became not only a creative outlet but a useful skill.
I wanted to design my own dresses so I found myself itching to stitch again. That spark became Melo Thread.
